Cyprus has a reputation for high quality oranges, something that reflects the 50 year’s experience with this crop. The most important orange variety on the island is “Valencia” or “Valencia Late”.
Is an excellent juice orange, with excellent taste and balanced sweetness. Our oranges have a medium to large size, round to oval shape, orange colour with a finely textured skin and thin peel. Fruits are usually seedless or with only few seeds. What particularly characterises our variety is the fruit’s bright orange coloured flesh which results to a deep orange coloured juice of rich flavour and aroma and of a content of over 60%. Our oranges are also firm and heavy for their size.
